In a sad and tragic incident, an 8-year-old boy accidentally drowned and died in the swimming pool in the P block school, DLF Phase 2. The swimming pool, located inside the school premises, is managed and operated by a sports academy to facilitate its use by residents and children during the summer months. The academy staff guards and coaches the swimmers during specific hours in the morning and evening. This unfortunate accident occurred around noon when the academy staff was not present. The child was in the pool with his family at the time of the accident. The family, residents of Basai, were guests of the property owner, who hails from the Nathupur area.
The matter is under investigation by the DLF Phase 2 Police. The residents in P block have been contacted by police teams to access their CCTV feeds to shed light on the incident, as there were no security personnel or CCTV footage from the school at the time.
The entire neighborhood is shaken by the shocking news of the loss of a young child’s life.
