Grand Shivratri celebrations in the society premises
The Grand Omaxe, Sector 93B, residents came together for grand Shivratri celebrations in the society premises. In the absence of any Shiva temple in the society, a makeshift arrangement was made in the park for the residents to perform prayers, offer milk, honey, water, etc. to the Shivling.
The auspicious Shivratri celebrations have been going on in the society for the past seven years. The residents lauded the initiative of the organisers. The worshipers kept coming in hordes to pay obeisance to the Shivling. They were later offered prasad. The day provided an opportunity for the residents to connect with divine, share their spiritual experiences and strengthen their faith.
Lauding the initiative of holding the celebrations on the society premises, a resident of Victoria A said, “I have just shifted to this society and wanted to pay obeisance at a Shiva temple. I was relieved to see tents set up on the premises itself. Such initiatives are of great convenience for the residents.
Another resident of the society said, “The Shivratri celebrations were held here with great vigour. Such occasions bring residents on a common platform and are a great way of uniting residents from all walks of life. Such initiatives should be frequently taken as they promote harmony in the society.”
