by Vinod Agarwal (Sagar Presidency; 9899437350)

In the 2nd edition of the 4-day annual festival spread across two weekends, Meghdutam Rangmanch presented four evenings of music and dance. Day events included workshops, an art exhibition, storytelling sessions including a children’s play and several creative activities for children.

Meghdutam Rangmanch introduced exciting new features in this 2nd edition of the Festival such as Classical Group Dance Concert, Apartment Group Dance Performances, a Rock Concert, Children’s Theatre, Rangoli in the Park and Daryaganj (Books in the Park).

Altogether, around 450 persons, both children and adults, actively participated in Festival events, excluding the audience which numbered around 2500 across all events.

Support from apartments – The RWAs and AOAs of Antriksh Greens, Palm Grove, Alok Vihar 1, Shubhkamna, Mahagun Manor, Silver Estate, Windsor Greens, Omaxe Twin Towers, Mahagun Maestro, Amrapali Eden Park and Meghdutam Apt contributed towards part of the expenses in organizing the Festival. Our readers will be gratified to learn that from Stellar Kings Apartment, it was a group of children who pooled their pocket money to contribute towards the expenses of the Festival. What an endearing spirit!

Meghdutam Rangmanch Team – Pankaj Sharma, Kapil Pandey, Peter Baker, Prerna Sharma, Pradeep Pallavi, Vaishali Joshi Mehta, Mridusmita Mandal, Sarla Adhikari, Sanjay Kumar, and Vinod Agarwal worked together to plan and organize the Festival. We thank Nazish Zaidi, Aarti Jain, Aditya Srivastava, Shobhit Jain, Sanjeev Kumar, Amit Varshney and Aniruddh Nanda for their active support in execution of events and videographing across the Festival.

Deputy Director, Anand Mohan, of the Horticulture Department of Noida Authority, extended all support to the Festival and the park staff ensured that the amphitheatre area was spruced up for each Festival event.

Here is a response received from one of the participants: “Rangmanch is a great platform for artists, and also for Noida residents equally who can enjoy performances and workshops without having to travel far. I was able to make it for only the story telling sessions with my younger son. And I am so thankful to you and all that I was able to see him enjoy it so much. It was our first experience of attending story telling sessions and we both thoroughly enjoyed to the core. We also were able to hear the performances of the local singers too. Thank you very much for hosting such nice fest and providing us a nice decent event for attending with family and kids.” Dr. Lavi S.
