Encroachment Removal Drive to Start on 16 Sep
A recent meeting with the DCP of South-East Delhi, Rajesh Deo, highlighted several pressing issues affecting the residents of New Friends Colony (NFC). The discussion revolved around illegal parking, encroachment, and maintaining law and order—factors that have been diminishing the overall quality of life in the area.
As NFC continues to expand, resolving these concerns has become a top priority for both residents and authorities. Rajesh Deo reassured residents that action would be taken to tackle these issues. A key outcome was the decision to organize a joint encroachment removal drive, directed by the Station House Officer (SHO) of NFC, RK Jain. This drive, scheduled for the 16th, 18th, and 20th of Sep 2024, will be carried out in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the Traffic Police. The focus will be on areas suffering from significant congestion and illegal activities.
Coordinated Encroachment Drives: The encroachment drive will span three days, targeting key routes within New Friends Colony. The operation will start at Gurudwara Sahib Road, proceed through Ashoka Park, and continue to Zakir Nagar. Multiple agencies, including MCD Central Zone and Traffic Police, will work together to address unauthorised parking & illegal encroachment ensuring the roads are safer and more accessible for residents.
Impact on Law and Order: Unchecked encroachments and illegal parking have not only caused traffic issues but also disrupted the community’s sense of order. These problems contribute to broader concerns about law and order in NFC. The meeting emphasized the need to restore peace and order through joint efforts by the police and civic bodies. By addressing these issues, the residents hope to see significant improvements in security and overall living conditions.
A Step Towards Lasting Solutions: The proactive stance taken by Rajesh Deo, in collaboration with local authorities, marks a positive move towards resolving these long-standing issues. This coordinated effort promises a lasting solution that will enhance the peace and quality of life for the residents of New Friends Colony.
With the commitment of all parties involved, NFC can look forward to becoming a more organised and peaceful community.
