Yatee, a child with special needs and Down Syndrome (DS), has discovered a love for basketball and playing the keyboard (Casio) despite facing physical and mental limitations due to low muscle tone. Through her dedication, inspiration, and the inclusive environment created by her coach and teammates, Yatee has exceeded expectations and achieved success in basketball. Despite the challenges associated with DS, her commitment, guidance, and faith in her coach, “Sanjeet Sir,” have polished her skills, and she has won many matches, consistently making an extraordinary contribution to her team. Recently, she won a trophy in an Inter-society competition. Yatee’s love for playing Casio has also led her to perform well at several levels.
She is disciplined in her daily chores, including her studies, playing the keyboard, and basketball, and always puts in hard work. Her never-give-up attitude sets her apart. Special thanks go to Yatee’s extended family at Prateek Wisteria, Coach Sanjeet Sir, her school (Father Agnel School) Director Fr. Jose Alarico Carvalho, and teachers who have provided her with opportunities and encouraged her to do her best. Their support highlights the transformative power of perseverance, inspiration, and inclusivity in achieving success in every field and beyond. Yatee has challenged the challenges of Down Syndrome and refused to let it define her life. Her journey has brought pride and joy to her parents and everyone around her.
