It’s been a remarkable year for India, featuring achievements such as Chandrayaan 3 and the G20 New Delhi summit… Our nation has stood out on the global stage.
The G20 summit, hosted by India, was a spectacular event that showcased the country’s capabilities. This success was the result of meticulous planning and flawless execution, including various activities like wreath-laying at Rajghat, the spouse’s dinner, airport welcome, media coverage, city branding, and more by the Pavilions & Interiors (P&I) team.
Meet our remarkable Noida residents, Uma Baburam Meghani and Shibu Chellappan, Directors at P&I. Their familial ties bind them, and they were at the helm of this splendid achievement.
Uma, shaped by her father, the late MR Baburam, who founded P&I in 1972, is a natural successor to the business. Shibu was drawn to the family business by his vision for creating extraordinary experiences.
“Our proudest achievement has been our contribution to the G20 summit and bringing pride to India.” The G20 project was a long-held dream for the P&I team. The journey began over a year ago with a rigorous selection process.
Shibu’s relentless efforts and meetings across India secured the prestigious assignment just 45 days before the summit, which was a moment of nervous excitement. They inform us happily, “The Government of India has even requested the P&I team to continue illuminating the Bharat Mandapam until Diwali.”
Personally, Shibu is renowned for his sharp business acumen and exceptional negotiation skills. He is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys walking, playing badminton, and traveling.
Shibu is also a dedicated workaholic, particularly during high-energy projects like the G20 summit, with unwavering support from his spouse and two daughters.
Uma is a dedicated professional with a strong work ethic who enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with close friends and family. “Cooking is my stress-reliever.”
Uma is backed by her spouse in her work. They have a daughter studying law in London.
Both Shibu and Uma derive energy from the appreciation they receive. Samvada wishes them continued success and eagerly anticipates their future endeavours.
