It has become a regular feature to see pictures & videos of local political leaders suddenly doing the good work of cleaning roads, water logging, sewage clearing etc. and we know elections must be around! The MCG office in particular seems to be storming with local leaders trying to get work done in their respective areas.The development work which should have ideally been quite usual, now seems to be done at a pace and with such marketing that it’s almost in our face to notice. Whether work is actually done or not, is a matter of discussion.
