The MCD has taken on a major desilting drive over May and June. The process began with Step-by-Step school, followed by E block. N block is being covered as we go to press. Even the nallah running adjacent to August Kranti Marg has been desilted and the malba removed. S block is proposed to be taken up later this month and early next month. Similarly, the spraying drive has begun to kill the mosquito larvae and is going on as we speak. The Society is in close contact with MCD officials to ensure timely completion of these drives.
