As in the past many years, the managing committee and Cultural committee members of S Block welfare Society celebrated Diwali with its 13 strong staff members including security guards and gardeners etc.
The event is celebrated every year, a day prior to Diwali. This year it was celebrated on 11th Nov. in the park. The idea is to mingle with the staff, boost their moral by giving gifts etc. and having a cup of tea with them over photo sessions.
This year SBWS invited the President & Gen. Secy of GKRA also, to be the guests of honor.
All the staff members were given two sets of tailor-made uniforms, woolen sweaters, caps, generous cash bonus, & a packet of sweets. Many generous residents also chipped in by giving cash & gifts to all of them. This year, Mr Singla, Ms Mala/Rupinder Goel, Bela Gupta. Amiteshwar and few others gave cash and sweets etc. to all the staff members.
The President & GS of GKRA along with the MC, CC members distributed the goodies to the staff. Everyone was served hot samosas and tea etc.
