“Mazaak Bnaa Diya Aapne Toh!!”

Samvada editors got a flurry of messages from Rupa Bhattacharya for publishing the September ’22 cover article ‘Row at Kalibari Mandir over Bhog- Rupa Bhattacharya (A-195) Slapped’. She exclaimed, “Mazaak bnaa diya aapne toh accused ka naam toh aapne kahi mention nahi kiya..!! Mere naam pe aap aise sub heading bnaa rahe ho”. “Maine toh Aisa statement diya hi nahi”, “Accused ka naam kahi mention nahi h”, “jo Ec ne jo bola vo jhooth”. Rupa Bhattacharya thought that Ruchica had written the article. She was then clearly told that the article was based on what she (Rupa) told us. Accused was not mentioned as he is not from the sector. Her name was mentioned as she resides in the sector and she was slapped publicly – which is simply not done.
