May the Month of Long Outages

The second half of May saw exceptionally long periods of frequent power cuts in many parts of Noida. In otherwise power sufficient societies of Sector 93 too there were instances of distress due to power failure. An internal fault in Parsvnath Prestige led to outages in Eldeco Utopia and Supertech Emerald Court. For 3–4 days they had long power cuts and frequent tripping. The reasons can be transformer snags, worn-out cables and infrastructural faults that could not take the high load of peak demand. But the officials pointed out to the internal snag in Parsvnath as the reason for the frequent tripping those few days. Situated near to each other, the apartment complexes are on a single feeder line; internal fault in a society affects the others as well.
