Nine days of Navratri equals nine days of joy
This festival season was no different than the other years. With the navratras, the festivities started in full swing in Anand Niketan. On each navratra a different house welcomed Ma as well as the devotees. The ladies of the colony along with the children and men gathered together, sang bhajans and partook with Prasad.
First Mata Ki Chauki was held on the first navratri at Meenakshi Chanda’s house. Ladies sang bhajans and danced to welcome Mata Rani in the colony. On the second day, Ma visited Aditi Chaudhri to bless her household. The third navratri saw the turn of Kavita’s house who welcomed Ma with devotion and fervor. On the fourth navratri day Kanika (D33) welcomed Mata Rani and her devotees. Fifth mata ki chauki was held by Pinki and her family. On the sixth day it was Sunita Ranjan’s turn who joyfully celebrated the occasion. Ashtami was held at Ms Parmar house and Navmi was completed at 9 D111, Tripta Behl’s house.
Anand Niketan keeps up the joy and celebrations year after year, bringing the residents together with the blessings of the almighty.
