The N block Welfare Association endevours to hold a Mata ki Chowki once a year, however this time it was held after a gap of 3 years, the last one being in October 2019.
The eighth Mata ki Chowki was held on the 30 Sep in the Central Park of N block. A large number of residents contributed towards the Chowki.
The park was set up and beautifully decorated by our usual tenting vendor. The program began at 6.30 pm with a small puja and lightning of jyot. The famous singer, Nidhi Sahil and her troupe treated us to an evening of melodious bhajans. As the evening progressed, all the seats in the park were occupied and extra had to be added to accommodate the bhakts. The enthusiasm was palpable.
Our MLA, Sh Saurabh Bharadwaj and his team mates, Sh Vishal Rajpal and Sh Upinder Singh graced the occasion. The SHOs of GK I and CR park also attended the Chowki.
RWA members of C, E, R & W blocks of GK I, Hemkunt colony, Kailash colony and GK enclave were also present.
The Chowki culminated with aarti and distribution of fruits and bate ka prasad. A sumptuous bhandara was served to 300 people.
It was a very well planned and executed function. Kudos to Team NBWA!
