On the diverse and culturally rich Indian tapestry, traditions and festivals play a pivotal role in bringing communities together. One such occasion that holds a special place in people’s hearts is Mata Ka Bhandara.
A dedicated group of PH2 residents, led by Mr Kasat, and PC 1-6 residents, led by Mr Verma, representing various age groups and backgrounds, came together to form a committee.
The committee took charge of planning, organizing and executing the event. Dates were finalized as 15 October and 23 October 2023.
The venue was transformed into a colourful, festive space. Traditional elements, colourful drapes and religious motifs adorned it, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Tables and seating arrangements were made to accommodate everyone.
The heart of the event was in the food distribution. Volunteers, from young children to seniors, came forward to serve food to the attendees. This act of giving not only filled empty stomachs but also warmed our hearts.
In PH2, 800+ people were served food. In PC, 1000+ people were served.
Mata Ka Bhandara was not just an event; it was a celebration of community. It brought residents closer, encouraging them to interact, bond, and discuss future activities.
Mata Ka Bhandara strengthened the ties that bind us together. It was a testament to the values we hold dear – faith, service and unity. It reminded us of the cultural tapestry that we are a part of, weaving together charity, devotion and togetherness into a beautiful celebration.
As we participated in this divine feast, we strengthened our bonds and reaffirmed our commitment to residents’ welfare, reminding us that unity is the essence of a thriving society.
