The ever-increasing rates of parking in the “colony market” is now demotivating the residents who need to visit market quite frequently for medicine, courier, stationery, vegetable and fruits etc. The parking attendants act as Mafia dons who keep threatening the shopper to either pay as per their demand or go back. There was a time few years back when the parking was free for the residents but due to poor handling and some personal gains, this facility was taken back by the vendors who even charge the RWA for organising Diwali mela or any other function around Gumbad. How long will our residents suffer from this parking mafia menace as there is no place to complain due to their agreement with MCD.
