Long before I moved to Malibu Towne, I used to visit my brother-in-law’s family at Malibu and was always fascinated with the community celebrations happening here. In this fast-pacing era of technology and devices, the disconnect between individuals and family is alarmingly increasing and here is one community which very seamlessly converges to celebrate emotions and festivals together. A lot goes into make a community dynamic and vibrant and one such person who always has been at forefront of organizing the events that makes Malibu Towne special is Manita Jain. She hails from Purkazi, Muzaffarnagar and is youngest of the six siblings. A top debater at the school, she has been actively engaged in student activities at college. That is where her tryst with handling stage happened.
She was pushed into taking lead for organizing an event at college when the person in charge could not make it. Although first time was imposed on her, she found her ‘calling’ by chance. She is empathetic and compassionate, which helped her to understand her team better and get the job done effectively. Her take on life was shaped by her peers at college. She wants to live fearlessly, healthy and always wants to have freedom of choice. She translates all the values she holds dear into her way of dealing with people and getting work done.
She is M.Sc. in Botany. She has taught in a school for 3 years before marriage and also to underprivileged children. She chose to be a home maker after birth of her son. Living by the motto ‘Live and Let live”, she works with a force and is very dependable. Ever since she moved to Malibu in 2002, she has been actively involved with RWA and is fully supported by her family in her endeavors in the community.
She can sing, dance and act. Also, she can teach and hold practice sessions for ladies in the central park for preparing Garba during Navratri celebrations. She is also the one who is on the mike and keeps the energy up (matching the DJ), be it organizing games for young and old at Republic Day celebrations, or Holi function at Central Park. Very painstakingly, she with her RWA team has revived the same enthusiasm and activities for community celebrations post Covid.
She is presently helping RWA with events’ organization. From next tenure of RWA, she will be working in capacity of Vice-President. She is extremely committed and is very important member of Malibu community. Good – luck to her and her team. May she remain happy and healthy and have freedom to choose always!
