In its pursuit to keep the colony clean the DCWA sanitation committee with the help of DDSIL got Malba and horticulture waste removed from areas near the Dhalaos. About four months back the same exercise was followed by thanks to some residents who instead of dumping their construction material in a proper manner personally dump their malba in these isolated places or pay rickshawalas do the same exercise for them. Unfortunately the Maalis are also a party to it. Jyoti Singh chairman Sanitation committee had requested the DC MCD (central zone) during his visit to the colony to allocate a Dhalao exclusively for malba disposal. Once the Dhalao is constructed then the residents can dump their malba in that dhalao by paying some nominal charge. This payment can then be used to hire trucks for disposal of the malba on a periodic basis. Let’s keep our colony clean! Compiled by Anuj Bakshi (D-66, 98108 22057)
