Summer vacations are here! We have had a strange summer, with intermittent thunderstorms, rain, even hail, and the most pleasant summer day where the maximum temperature touched 22 degrees!
However, this time of the year is such that temperatures at home can become very heated, as all parents will agree, especially with little children to keep busy!
Hamlet though, always has something to offer! Once the vacations began, along with an increase in the outdoor activities (owing to great weather largely), there were also numerous ads on summer camps.
Parents and students have delighted in participating in these camps spread across, appealing to different and common interests.
Radhika Haldia (9231) hosted numerous children in a series of recurring summer camps with fun activities such as soap-making, storytelling, drama and much more. Her son, Divit, and their neighbour Tejal, being allies in the successful completion of each one.
Priyanka Malhotra (11231) organised numerous sessions for art and craft at her residence, especially for little children, with her own little one, Saisha playing the perfect hostess.
As someone who is always looking to engage children to keep them busy and explore their creativity, Priyanka was able to get them to do fun crafts.
The last Sunday of May saw three activities held in the clubhouse – one for children aged 8-12 years and another for children aged 13-16. These were workshops on communication skills conducted by Payal Thakur (14092), a communications professional who is now a full-time trainer.
Payal facilitated the children to understand the nuances of communication and presentation through activities and role-play. It was a very intensive engagement session for all children as they were highly intrigued by the little details.
It is great that we have such talented individuals who can channel their talents and offer them to others to learn, to live and to create! Look forward to seeing more people take initiatives!
