Makar Sankranti was celebrated by the ladies of Anand Niketan on 15th January at the E block park of the colony. Neelu ji organized this get together.
The ladies of the E block prepared khichdi together and brought it into the park to celebrate Makar Sankranti. The ladies enjoyed this feast together while playing antakshari and soaking the winter sun.
The antakshari was a super duper hit impromptu function that required ladies to search for appropriate songs from their repertoire. Some sang golden oldies along with the latest numbers from the younger brigade brought in much fun and gaity to the afternoon.
After the function was over the ladies made sure that the park was left in a pristine condition and while finishing off the festival already started planning the next event that would take place. All in all the day was enjoyed by the young and older generation alike.
