When businessman Siddharth Sipani returned to his house at S 69, TF, on 29th Sept 24, after a family holiday in Bali, he was shocked to see his house ransacked.
There was no forced entry. After assessing his loss, the matter was reported to the G.K.1 Police Station. Sipani also called me up, and I assured full assistance. He also told me that there were three persons in his house in his absence from 22 Sept. to 28th Sept., including his PSO.
Local police beat officers were in touch for the next five days and checked the footage for the intervening period of theft at our several cameras. The breakthrough came from the TV footage of a nearby hotel, which showed a person moving around in suspicious circumstances on the night of Sept.26th, near S 69. The footage was shown to Sipani on 4th Oct.24, and he identified the person as Vikas Kumar, his PSO.
The police team, under the supervision of SHO, Inspector Bhanu Partap Ji arrested the person from his house in Baghpat.
Total recovery was Rs. seventy lakhs in cash and diamonds, and gold jewelry worth 55 lakhs. The car used in the crime was also confiscated.
SBWS congratulated the DCP (South), Ankit Chauhan, Inspector Bhanu Ji and his entire team. Kudos to the entire team.
