On a wintery evening in 2009, two strangers met for a game of badminton, not knowing what fate had in store for them.
An innocuous game of badminton ended up becoming the game, set and match for two individuals who on the first look seemed poles apart.
There was something in Pooja’s vivaciousness and positivity, which attracted one and all towards her. Whereas Aashish was a simple, sincere, and straightforward guy with a heart of gold, and nurturing friendships came naturally to him.
It was his simplicity that made Pooja adore him.
Pooja liked the fact that Aashish would listen to her patiently without any judgment and Aashish loved her attitude of living life to the fullest.
Over a period of time, our short drives together became longer and longer, wherein both of us started confiding in each other, without realising our friendship had graduated to the next level, and eventually both of us understood that we wouldn’t find any better individual as our life partner.
Then, on the auspicious day of Baisakhi in 2011, our families and friends blessed us for a long and happy married life.
It is not that our life has been without any hiccups, a journey devoid of any road bumps. But each setback has only strengthened our bond and brought us closer to each other.
Both of us know that with love even the thorns turn into roses.
Truly, a match made in heaven!
