Maa Durga Puja Celebration At AGV -1

Maa Durga Puja , at the year 2024 was celebrated countrywide  which was observed from 8 to 13 October. The festival falls on the month of Autumn, so Durga Puja also named as ‘Sharoduthshob‘

 This grand festival reverberates through the heart of Indians and  is more than just a religious celebration it is a cultural phenomenon that brings communities together in joy ,  devotion and creativity . Festival started with Shashti and concluded with Vijayadashami .Each day holding a unique importance with various rituals and devotion.

At AGV -1, Durga Puja was conducted by ‘ Antriksh Golf View Sarbojonin Puja Committee’,  at the clubhouse. This year we celebrated third year  celebration with great enthusiasm . Not only the Bengali community but entire residents participated in that celebration and supported to commence this grand festival successfully. From the very early morning daily Puja  started  and by evening Arati was held. Devotees gathered in large numbers for pushpanjali and  to seek the divine  blessing for the well-being of their family  . Afterwards Prasad was distributed among all.  There was two –day Bhandara for everyone.

On the day of ‘Ashtami’ a very special Puja was held which  named as ‘ Kumari Puja’  and was the main attraction for everyone . This year, little girl Shanaya was worshipped as Maa Durga  and everyone experienced  that divine grace and felt blessed too.

 On the Navami evening  ladies performed  the ‘ Dhunuchi ‘ dance  in front of  Maa Durga . At  the  concluding day ‘ Dashami ‘ after performing puja and havan , by 10.30am , ladies in all age groups assembled at the clubhouse in traditional attire for’ boron ‘  to Maa Durga and other deities after Arati with sindur and sweets . Afterwards all married woman played with sindur and greeted each other . Before starting the immersion an amazing group dance was performed by ladies .

Then the time has arrived to adieu good bye to Maa Durga and with heavy heart everyone started a procession by chanting ‘ the slogan ‘Jai Maa Durga , aashche bochor aabar  hobe’,  within entire society.

Then the immersion was held at a nearby water body .

All the volunteers of this Puja Committee had given tremendous effort for this grand festival which is appreciative too . Everyone has waiting for the next year for early arrival of Maa Durga.
