Personality of the Month
17th July, the residents of DLF Phase 2 gathered to honour Lt Gen Ram Gaur, a cherished community member known for his generous spirit. For the past three years, Lt Gen Gaur has been spreading joy by distributing toffees and flavoured cardamom to everyone he meets in the park, earning him the affectionate nickname “ToffeewaleDadu.”
The surprise event, organized by Charu from Madhya Marg and Mehak from N-3, took place at 6 pm in the M 13 Park. Charu brought a bouquet, and Mehak baked special treats to mark the occasion. “For three years, I’ve seen him make everyone smile,” said Charu. “Today, we wanted to show our gratitude.”
The heartfelt gathering moved Lt Gen Gaur to tears. Children, who adore him, lined up to greet him with a namaste and eagerly asked for toffees. “He’s a true humanitarian,” remarked one resident, echoing the sentiments of many.
In addition to his kind gestures, Lt Gen Gaur is also an author and photographer, celebrated for his book “Indian Birds.” His acts of distributing chocolates and mouth fresheners are his way of socializing and bringing happiness to the community.
