Srishti’s staff and security have set the benchmark high in two different incidents
Two staff members, each from the housekeeping and security departments, of Parsvanath Srishti have become stalwart heroes by showing acts of integrity, ethics, and morality in two different incidents thathappened at two different times in the society’s premises.
Incident 01
Society’s security supervisor, Shatrughan Pandey, while on his regular round duty at night around 12.15 am found Rs. 11,500 (a big fat amount) lying on the floor. He acted quickly and wisely; with his security team he immediately got down to scan the CCTV footage to find the person who had dropped the money unknowingly.
Luckily, he was able to identify the lady whose money was lost and without delay returned the lost sum personally to the lady in the morning itself.
This act not only strengthened our belief in the security staff but also made us feel secure and happily proud to see the level of his dedication and honest behavior.
The management was elated with the ethical act. “In recognition of the act, we recently honored Mr. Shatrughan Pandey with a Certificate of Appreciation and cash reward. His honesty stands as a shining example of the values we hold dear in our community,” they shared with the residents.
Incident 02
A member of Srishti’s housekeeping team has set another example of “honesty is the best policy”. Jaydeb Barik, while on duty, found a wallet full of cash, cards, and other essential personal stuff lying around the area of the society’s office.
With an utterly kind attitude, he picked up the wallet and submitted the same to the main gate security for further scrutiny and analysis. With the help of the photo on one of the cards, the security identified the owner of the lost wallet and safely returned the wallet to the rightful owner.
The two incidents, which happened one after the other, reflect the strong moral learning of society’s housekeeping and security staff. We, as a society, are thankful and grateful for the behavior shown by our supporting staff towards us time and again.
Further, most of the society members are putting their opinions in favor of bringing a system of rewards for such trustworthy acts. They say: “Appreciations and citations are most impactful when accompanied by individual’s photo. It ensures that when anyone sees such ethically responsible persons, he/she takes a moment to appreciate them. This can become motivation factor not only for the person, but for all others.”
