All the ladies of the Glow Club participated in the Valentine’s Celebrations on the 14th of February afternoon for a delicious South Indian lunch in our Park.
The club had also organised a flea market for the club members doing home businesses of selling suits, hand-painted dupattas , achaar murabbas, etc.
Although the Club had no participation in the sales and promotions of these items we just facilitated the two parties with a table each.
South Indian Food was full of flavor and aromas. Idlis, dosas, vadas were served with sambar, chutney, papad, and rasam. The fragrance of coconut, curry leaves, and spices filled the air, tantalizing the taste buds. Not to miss out favourite dessert – Moong dal Halwa.
The decoration was lovely with heart-shaped paper cutouts, strung all over. Balloons, red and white coloured dupattas, and a photo booth made the event more special.
The flea market was a hit, from trendy shoes to stylish clothes, to pickles and murabba.
There were Valentine’s games played including the “love tambola” balloon game, and the game winners (Sudesh Mongia and others) were given their prizes by our leader Shri Anil Yadav ji who was also invited by the club to speak and encourage us to take care of our neighbourhood ourselves of course with his help always. Ladies presented their local issues to him and he was kind enough to give assurance of solving them..issues like street cleaning, lights, kuda, etc.
Each month this club is growing and more and more ladies are becoming members..you can too.
