The New Year brings new hopes, new aspirations and new energy. The Vividha family gathered in January to celebrate the New Year, Republic Day, Lohri and Makar Sankranti.
Ladies were given beautiful embroidered pouches as welcome gifts. Mrs Janak Bhatia sang a beautiful song welcoming the New Year. Kavita Kashyap recited a very meaningful poem on how we should bring positivity into our thoughts and actions. Suman explained in detail about Mahakumbh and its significance and relevance in today’s times. Ladies lit the bonfire and sang Lohri songs to mark the beginning of longer days. Ladies also shared their thoughts on what New Year resolutions mean and how these resolutions are meant to be broken. The hot kachoris, aloo, laddus and chai were a delight – wah! Mazaa aa gaya!
February is the month of Basant. Ladies attended dressed in yellow to celebrate Basant Panchami. Nisha, Shashi, Sangeeta, Ranjana and Meena were all full of energy, singing and dancing to celebrate the arrival of spring. A Saraswati vandana was recited. With Valentine’s Day approaching, love was in the air, and ladies sang songs featuring words like pyar, mohabbat and ishq. Shivratri was also celebrated, and birthday wishes were extended to the ladies celebrating their birthdays in January and February. The meeting concluded with a game of tambola and hot burgers and tea. The next celebration will be Holi in March.
