Nature has fascinated us for a long time now. Different people like different parts of nature such as flowers, plants, birds, animals and so on. Many of us even travel all over the country and abroad to different sanctuaries and reserves to be able to explore nature more closely and in its full bounty. But in our hectic and busy lifestyle we often forget to look at our immediate surroundings, which hold more treasures than we can ever imagine.
If we take some time out for ourselves and explore our surroundings we would be surprised to find the amount of beauty nature has given us right in our lap. One evening while standing on my balcony, I noticed a beautiful little bird sitting on a nearby branch. I immediately brought my camera and started clicking away. After this incident I always kept a keen eye out for birds in my surroundings and over a period of time have surprisingly spotted many exotic species and that too from the terrace of my house.
Many of us don’t know this but Noida falls directly in the migratory path of birds migrating to India from countries like China, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. The best season to observe rare migratory birds in Noida is the winter season that is from October to March but even now if you look around you will be able to spot many exotic birds. Some of the birds that I have managed to spot are the Alexandrine Parakeet , Green Bee Eater, the extremely rare Australian Blue Parakeet, the Sunbird and the White Throated Kingfisher.
