Lohri represents new beginnings, joy, and prosperity. It marks the end of winter solstice and the beginning of longer days. Lohri is a time to pray for a good harvest and prosperity in the next agricultural cycle.
Lohri came alive in Ridgewood with a celebration full of warmth, joy, and togetherness. The beats of the ‘dhol’ echoed through the evening as people broke into energetic and impromptu bhangra, while laughter and cheer lighted up the chilly night. Food stalls became the heart of the festivities, serving mouthwatering chaat, steaming hot chole bhature, and crispy, delectable jalebis that brought memories back. It was a night to remember, where Ridgewood bonded in the spirit of camaraderie.
Residents enjoyed thoroughly all thanks to restless efforts made by many resident volunteers, the RECA Board, and staff.
May God bless the Ridgewood Family always.
