DLF2 Residents’ New Punjabi Mahasabha kicked off an early start of the new year with the winter festival celebrations on 7th January at the Community Centre K block. Members of the group and many other residents booked up to participate in this collaborative event. The evening kicked with dhol leading the ‘jaago’ group. Lohri bonfire in the midst of well-decorated setup, Dhol & DJ pumping punjabi and bollywood music, got all dancing and grooving to the festive mood. The special guests at the event were Sh. Manish Yadav and Sh. Vipin Yadav. The party went on till late at night with everyone enjoying the ambience with the piping hot buffet of food and beverages of all kinds.
The day of the festival 13th January, kicked off Lohri and Makar Sankranti wishes flooding all whatsapp groups of DLF2 Residents.
P block seniors morning walkers group, as always began the celebration with a small bonfire and the get-together at P block park.
The windy cold evening brought more fun in the celebrations with everyone enjoying the warmth from the lohri pyre alongwith families in their homes, with music, good food and munching on the til revri, gajaks, bhuggas, popcorns, and peanuts.
Q block residents got together to celebrate with everyone also at the park with everyone exchanging wishes and connecting in the new year.
