Panchshila Club recently hosted a grand Lohri celebration, bringing together members and their families for an evening of joy, tradition, and camaraderie. The highlight of the evening was the traditional bonfire, symbolizing warmth, prosperity, and the end of winter. Guests gathered around the crackling fire, offering peanuts, popcorn, and sesame seeds as part of the ritual. The rhythmic beats of the dhol filled the air as everyone joined in lively dance.
The turnout was large and the arrangements were excellent. The culinary spread was a treat for all, featuring classic Lohri delicacies such as sarson ka saag, makki di roti which are flavors of Punjab, adding to the festive spirit.
The evening concluded with laughter, music, and a sense of togetherness, making it a memorable celebration of Lohri that beautifully blended tradition and modernity in the heart of South Delhi.
