It was a bright, sunny and cold morning in Noida, As winters started to creep in, a group of students were starting to leave their warm and cozy beds to gear up for that morning of
achievements. 8 students, who practice Karate at D Block Park, were ready to take on the challenge for their next belt test.
In Karate, the first level starts with a white belt. Next is orange and green respectively, which also has levels to achieve. It depends upon the fighting skills of the candidate and they are judged on the same. With the right combinations of kicks, punches and defense, they can combat anyone who stands in their way. These bright faces, brimming with enthusiasm – ranging from 5 years to 9 years, have achieved the next step in their karate journey.
7 girls and a boy, namely Aarna, Avyaan, Anaya, Gauri, Nirvana, Nitya, Parnika, Sayesha, belonging to various blocks of sector 39 such as B, C, E, F,G & H, had put up a great show at Noida stadium on the morning of November 20.
They are the students of a renowned karate association, which is recognised by the International Olympic committee These cute little champ hail from schools across Noida such as Cambridge, DPS, GIIS, Gyanshree, Khaitan, Ryan etc. The super energetic clan can be spotted on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, practising at the D Block Park, where under the guidance of an able coach, they are gaining great skills. Their coach is a black belt and presently with a school.
Some of them started practising karate at a very young age of 4, making their families proud with each passing day. It’s a good practice, if students of their age keep their energies and talents channelized in right directions. Karate can be pursued at any age and if you feel, your kid is yet to figure out his/her interest, then you can definitely give it a try.
Let’s hope and pray that these young rising starts shine even brighter with each passing season.
