Light Pollution

We always talk about dust pollution, smoke pollution, sound pollution but when it comes to installing lights never bother about light pollution. There was a time when our parks were dark and badly lit. Suddenly, in our zest to light them up we seem to have gone overboard. In the parks there are walking track lights and in the outer periphery there are street lights. As if these were not enough, we are thronged by high powered mast lights that have transformed night into day. This is light pollution and we should protest about this. We are told that some of the residents are not able to sleep because these high-powered mast lights enter their bedrooms.
