Sector 50 A-E

Letter To Editor

It appears Noida and its Planning department are neither cost-sensitive nor environmentally friendly. A case in point is the recent additional illumination poles provided in the sector.

In this project, solar panels should have been provided for the lights. Firstly, it would have saved on the work of uprooting the interlocking tiles, on the civil costs plus underground electric cabling costs. The haphazard re-laid interlocking tiles will always be an eyesore. Secondly, the recurring cost of electricity on running the new light poles would have been saved.

In fact, there is an emergent need to create a separate grid for all streetlights to be connected to the solar panels. Fathom the overall cost saving!
