To tackle the increasing monkey menace, the Anand Niketan Residents Welfare Association (ANRWA) has deployed life-size langur cutouts across the locality. Monkeys, which have been causing disturbances in the area, are known to fear langurs, making the cutouts an effective deterrent.
Residents have welcomed the move, reporting a noticeable decrease in monkey-related incidents.
“We were facing constant trouble, with monkeys damaging property and snatching food. These cutouts seem to be working,” said a resident.
ANRWA officials, optimistic about the results, are considering additional measures if necessary.
