Noida Kalibari, in collaboration with SurAlap, Lalan Research Academy, and Bangladesh India Cultural Alliance, hosted the Lalan Fakir Smaranutsav on the 9 and 10 Dec. This two-day celebration of Baul heritage marked a significant cultural event in the region, drawing enthusiasts, artists, and intellectuals to embrace the legacy of Lalan Fakir.
The festivities kicked off with the traditional Prabhat Pheri, also known as Madhukori, where Baul Fakirs went door to door, seeking religious Prasad. The residents of Sec 26 joyously welcomed the Bauls with songs and dance early morning.
In the evening, the ceremonial Lamp Lighting took place. This symbolic gesture illuminated the unity and cultural bond shared by the participants, fostering a sense of camaraderie.
This two-day extravaganza not only celebrated the profound contributions of Lalan Fakir to the cultural heritage but also provided a platform for cultural exchange and spiritual exploration. The event exemplified the spirit of unity and diversity, fostering a deeper appreciation for the Baul heritage.
