The gala evening organised by the Ladies Club Organising Committee was an immensely enjoyable evening, planned and executed to perfection. The ladies received a warm welcome by the Committee members.
A buffet, comprising tempting snacks, was aesthetically laid out to ensure that everyone enjoyed tea/coffee and delicious, hot snacks while they met and greeted each other.
The ambience complemented the theme and the soft music (Come September) in the background enhanced the happy aura. It was fascinating to observe gorgeous ladies engaged in conversations, complementing each other and cracking jokes. The bonding was exemplary!
The evening’s programme began with an insightful interactive session ‘Helping Teens to Navigate through Social Media’. The session was chaired by Dr Kavita Sharma, former Principal Hindu College (DU) and President South Asian University.
It was an informative and enlightening session. We extend our gratitude to Dr Kavita Sharma for her eloquent interaction with the audience.
It was a pleasure for the present Ladies Club Committee to felicitate the previous Committee Members along with their competent President, Shivani Chaturvedi. Present President, Neeta Dogra, & the Vice-President Swaran Gupta did the honours. Neeta Dogra. in her thank-you speech, lauded the previous committee members for having worked restlessly to organise fabulous Monthly Meetings.
Soon it was time for the much-awaited cultural bonanza – time to put on ones’ dancing shoes and show-case Western dance moves to a mix of retro and modern music. This was presented by four couples whose synced dance styles encompassed different genres of the groovy music.

The spectacular western dance performance was followed by Bollywood Dhamaka, an incredibly well-choreographed dance presentation by our own graceful divas. A variation of dance steps matched the retro and modern Bollywood songs ingeniously chosen by Sushmita, our choreographer. The brilliant performance left the audience spellbound, and the hall echoed with sounds of thundering applause and cheers! Our special thanks to Rashmi Kumar, Suneet Kaur, Ruma Kholi, Harpreet Gupta, Ritu Gupta, Anjali Goel, Neetu Aggarwal and Shikha Mittal.
Lo and behold! Abhishek, an energetic, swift and amazing choreographer, went up to each lady, requesting them to dance along as he led the entire group. It was an awe-inspiring moment and the josh exhibited by one and all was magical. History was created when the entire audience lit up the dance floor swaying and swirling with the music!
After the rocking cultural programme, it was time to savour the yummy, elaborate Continental spread. It was a joy to see the lovely ladies enjoying the Continental menu, and one could overhear appreciative remarks related to the lavish menu specially crafted for our charming women.
We express our gratitude to the beautiful ladies Samidha Jain, Anita Jaiswal, Saras Gupta, Nitu Aggarwal & Deepika Jalan for helping us make the event a grand success.
The fun-filled event will indeed be etched as a memorable evening in the history of Ladies Club!
