The Utsav brought together beautiful women across all ages, in huge numbers and one could see the enjoyment all around. The festivities were a perfect combination of traditional folk songs, dances, food and the much awaited and exciting Ramp Walk in which 34 gorgeous women across all ages participated with zest and panache.
The judges, Anuradha Sharma and Neha Guglani, definitely had a challenging time selecting six Teej Queens. Our heartfelt thanks to both our judges for accepting our invitation.
We are happy to share that the Teej Queens were Uma Bagla (the show stopper), Reena Shukla, Nidhi Bansal, Rupanjali Saikia, Preeti Sharma and Mini Atri. As our charming ladies walked on the ramp with grace & confidence, the audience continuously clapped and applauded these super attractive models!
The cultural event commenced with the Peacock Dance, in sync with the pitter-patter of raindrops. Graceful Reena Shukla presented the dance which indeed was a beautiful performance and resonated well with everyone in the hall who kept on cheering Reena. Dance shows are incomplete without the performance of the charming and spirited Shashi Mathur, who danced gracefully to folk music. Her solo presentation won the hearts of her audience. Next was the rendition of soulful songs accompanied by a dholak, presented by Aruna Jain, Kiran Mittal, Nirmal Jain and Ishita Sharma. Some of our ladies took to the floor and danced to the singing and dholak. It was followed by an energetic, captivating and well-choreographed group dance presented by our dancing divas – Harpreet Gupta, Mansha Agarwal Richa Gupta & Shikha Mittal – to a medley of foot-tapping music! They were given a standing ovation for their super balletic performance!
Lo and behold, it was delightful to see the stunning Kavita Sharma on the dance floor. She gave a solo performance and set the stage on fire by performing a scintillating semi-classical dance to ‘Tal pe tal…’! The hall echoed with loud whistles as the audience were enthralled with Diva’s graceful moves.
Of course the non-stop photo shoots, the selecting of colourful bangles offered by the Ladies’ Club committee, the fun and laughter, all created happy vibes.
The exhibition of handcrafted jewellery was appreciated by everyone.
The yummy snacks and a lunch curated carefully to suit the festivities was served and savoured by our fun-loving ladies. The icing on the cake was the traditional, much relished Ghevar!
The committee members were complimented for making fabulous arrangements.
Our sincere thanks to all the beautiful women whose gracious presence made the event a super hit. Gratitude to all the participants of the ramp walk, dances, the singers and to Anjali Goel for conducting the entire event meticulously.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Club Executive Committee for their support and last, but not the least, the hardworking Ladies’ Club Committee members – Neeta Dogra, President, Swaran Gupta, Vice President, Meenakshi Handa, Member and Varsha Bansal, Technical Advisor- who deserve appreciation for their expertise in organising well-coordinated events.
