The monthly ladies club meeting held on 11th October 2023 was a vibrant and socially conscious event that brought together the women of the community for an afternoon of entertainment, awareness, and delicious homemade meals. The highlight of the day was the two thought-provoking street plays performed by the members of the club.
The first street play, Consumer Saavdhaan was written and directed by Mrs Kusum Duggal . It revolved around consumer awareness, aiming to educate the audience about the perils of modern consumerism. The second street play, Dharti kare pukaar, written and directed by Mrs Minu Anand, took an eco-conscious approach, addressing the urgent need to save our planet. It depicted the devastating consequences of plastic pollution and other environmental issues, making a compelling case for sustainability. The play highlighted the importance of the 5 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse, and Repair, as practical steps individuals can take to make a difference. This performance left a lasting impact on the audience, inspiring many to rethink their daily choices and their impact on the environment.
