Grow Green Thrive
Ladies Club Sector 15A organized a programme “Grow Green Thrive” on 21 Dec 2024. It was an excellent opportunity to know about Terrariums. Manju Grover along with Deepa Pasricha from Noida Floriculture Society not only explained about a Terrarium, its history, its types, its difference from other container gardens but also demonstrated the art of creating a Terrarium. They came very well prepared with all the material such as glass bowl, all kinds of pebbles, plants, moss grass etc. required for making the Terrarium and made a beautiful Terrarium in front of all of us. The step-by-step explanation was very good and thorough with all dos and don’ts of this art. It was so interesting that not only gardening enthusiasts but many of us were inspired to make it ourselves. The last item was a treat to the ears. None other than the well-known singer Shobhana Rao of our own SDF presented an array of different songs in her beautiful and melodious voice. An old Bollywood melody, a gazal, a folk song and a popular number. This was surely a reflection of her mastery over different types of singing. The programme was very enriching and enjoyable. In the end, all enjoyed the delicious food with seasonal dishes mouth-watering sarson ka sag and gazar ka halwa. Everyone was pleasantly surprised on receiving a beautiful plant.
Congratulations President Anita ji and the Ladies Club Committee for organizing another wonderful event. I take this opportunity to draw the attention of Club members towards the very thin attendance. To make an event a resounding success, a lot of effort and hard work is put in. Our presence in large numbers is crucial to achieve this goal. We all should come in large numbers to reflect the spirit of our Ladies Club.
