A big round of applause to all the residents who took on this running challenge and with sheer determination and grit crossed the finishing line.
While for some it was the first time – testing waters – testing their stamina, for some it was a confidence booster – “I can do it” while on the other end of the spectrum were “seasoned” runners – who run a half marathon every other month – running is like breathing – an inseparable part of life!
Covering some Sector 41 runners here – Our Half Marathon Star Couple – Purnima and Sachin Gulyani (J block), Run lovers –Shivang Kansal (F Block), Saneh Gupta (G Block), Mayank Bhandari (G Block) and Prateek Raj (C block). Wishing you all – best of running health for a lifetime!!!
If you ask them “Why do you run?” The answers all revolve around running being their passion, enjoyment, fun, liberating. When you run, your only competition is with yourself – sometimes you run to improve your performance from last time, sometimes you run to give confidence to yourself that your spark to run is still alive or sometimes you run to liberate yourself from the shackles of an unfortunate health condition which threatened to take away all your joys. Whatever it be, crossing the finishing line announces you as a winner!
You are all winners!!! Congratulations! May your tribe grow by leaps and bounds!
Note: If you know of any other runner not covered in this article, please contact Samvada editors with the information.
