Dahi handi was the biggest draw at Janamashthmi celebration by RW&CS
RW&CS called a professional group to celebrate the almighty’s birthday. The lawn was decorated with vibrant colors and the stage with LED backdrop added to the beauty of the celebration. Artists wearing special dresses danced and portrayed Krishna Leela. Residents keenly watched each episode of the deity depicting Meera’s love, khatu baba connection with Krishna, traditional chappan bhog prasaad offered to Krishna at Jaganath temple. Everyone present was completely involved in the devotional play. Savita Saxena was on the mike explaining efficiently various leelas going on stage. Dahi handi program was the main attraction for the kids and the younger crowd.
Cultural program by kids impressed everyone at club
Club too celebrated the birth of lord Krishna by decorating Vindhyachal Hall. The stage was set on which a beautifully dressed-up laddu Gopal was placed on a swing. Performances by kids on Radha and Krishna songs were enthralling and small kids dancing and their parents happily taking their videos was in full form. Tiny ones participated in fancy dress competition and were looking cute in their Radha and Krishna clothes, crowns and jewellery. After the performances, the hall was filled with the sound of soulful bhajans and this lively celebration ended with arti and offering prasad to laddu Gopal and later, to bhakts.
Celebrations at Shiv Shakti Temple
The entry of Shiv Shakti temple in the sector was decorated with balloons. Amidst the blowing of conch shells, devotees offered prayers. Many flocked to the temple to rock Laddoo Gopal, and the air was filled with gaiety and devotional fervour. Celebrations included aarti and singing of bhajans.
Aditi Arora, resident of C-55, organised a janamashtmi kirtan at her home and invited her friends for the same. The ladies sang and danced on Krishna bhajans. Aditi decorated her house with balloons and flowers and at 12 pm Krishna’s janam was celebrated together by all friends and a variety of prasaad was offered to the deity Everyone was filled with devotion and was seen enjoying the mid-night celebrations.
Janmashtami was celeberated at Brahma kumaris with great fanfare. Life of Krishna right from birth was depicted by children. There was joy and happiness every where, every body dancing and singing with joy.
The birth of Krishna the first prince of Sukhdham is celeberated to commemorate the onset of swarnim era where in there is no evil and every one lives happily. The evil and the negativity comes to an end. Bhog was arranged for all.
