Know Your AOA – Dhananjay Ketkar, President LBAoA4

Dhananjay Ketkar is an engineering professional (B E Electronics) with Masters in Cost and Management Accounting (ACMA). He has over 33 years of experience in Power Transmission, Power Distribution, Power Generation & Infrastructure Sector (RAIL, Road, Urban, Airports, and Water).

Mr. Ketkar worked with Public Sector Enterprises (14+ years), MNCs in four Geographies (13+ Years) and with Indian Private sector (4+ years). The experience covers 14 years of P&L Management Experience for business with annual revenues in excess of $60M.

Mr. Ketkar handled  responsible positions in Engineering, Project Management. Contract Management, Sales, Tendering, Business Development, P&L Management, Mergers & Acquisition, and Due Diligence. He has been a Board member since 2015.

Mr. Ketkar has a proven track record of leading multi-cultural workforces across Europe, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa and India.

At the age of 55, Mr. Ketkar decided to retire from active service and spend time to pursue his hobbies and also to give back to society. He was elected President in the recently held AOA 4. He feels that being elected to the Board of Lotus Boulevard Apartment Owners Association is an excellent opportunity for him to cater to the community, selflessly, and to contribute to the society.

Mr. Ketkar has been working relentlessly to streamline processes, optimize costs and bring transparency, inclusivity and efficiency in operations. His vision is to make Lotus Boulevard more sustainable by optimizing energy resources, optimizing water resources, and bringing in technology to improve helpdesk services, parking management, complaint management, visitor management & financial management.

Several initiatives in this regard have already been taken up; results are already visible for several of them.

In the first step, the immediate problems such as DG servicing, transformer repairs, water tank cleaning, rainwater harvesting, arresting leakages in basement on temporary basis, systematic addressing of dog issue etc, are taken up on priority and most of them are near completion.

The work is on for technology deployment, water tank management pilot project etc.

Each board member’s roles and responsibilities have been clearly defined. In addition to this, various committees have been formed to look into specific sectors such as finance, security, horticulture, cultural, senior citizen etc.

There has been active participation from the residents in these committees.
