Know Thy Neighbour –Aditya Gupta

The passion to ignite young minds with the power of knowledge comes naturally to our featured resident for this column this month. Aditya Gupta, a GK-2 resident for over two decades, found his calling in the profession of teaching at an early age. After completing his schooling from the prestigious Delhi Public School, RK Puram, in 2011, Aditya`s initial choice was to pursue higher education in Engineering, given his aptitude for Mathematics and Science.

A Mathematics wizard, Aditya holds the enviable distinction of scoring a perfect 100 in the subject in his school Board examination. His pursuit for Engineering took him to the foreign shores as he pursued a Degree course in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the renowned Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), Pittsburg, USA. He however soon realized that he was not cut out to take up Engineering as his profession.

The charms of Corporate Culture and perks were not enticing enough for him. Never to reconcile to settling down with something where his heart and soul does not lie, Aditya chose to return to India after completing his Engineering course and took up a Research Project at Shiv Nadar University. About a year later, he met a teacher who was preparing students for the CPA program. Highly influenced by the proposition of teaching, Aditya himself started teaching Mathematics to school students shortly thereafter. And this started a career for Aditya that he still finds truly rewarding and satisfying.

Never to look back after that, Aditya continued to expand his domain expertise to cover courses like SAT, GMAT, GRE and school curriculum affiliated to different Boards. Buoyed by the phenomenal response that he received for his endeavor, Aditya started his own coaching center near GK-2 Market somewhere around 2019, which he was forced to shut down during the Covid induced lockdown. However his experience of holding online teaching programs for a few outstation students some years earlier held Aditya in good stead to seamlessly transition from physical classes to the online mode of teaching during the lockdown. And this has become his standard mode of teaching since then.

His flair for personal interaction with people induces him to hold one on one teaching sessions with his students. This also helps him to work on the different challenges of each of his students, which is something that he truly enjoys. For Aditya, variety is truly the spice of life as he imparts education across multiple courses and programs to students falling in different age bands.

Being an only child of his parents, Aditya cherishes the constant love and support that he has received from his parents and grandparents. A voracious reader, Aditya loves to read books on various subjects. Both his parents are IT Professionals and have always supported Aditya in all his endeavors. We wish Aditya Gupta all the very best for his future.
