In our series of getting to know our co residents today we have Nitin Mantri r/o B 71. Nitin is son of Late Mr. OP Mantri a journalist and Mrs. Usha Mantri, a teacher. Nitin is a well known name in the field of Public Relations.
All of 49 years old, Nitin Mantri is only the second Indian to be inducted to the “ICCO Hall of Fame”. This honor is a recognition of his contribution to the global fraternity of communicators and the public relations industry.
Born and brought up in Gulmohar Park, Nitin had the ability and knack to engage with people. At a young age he brought together youngsters of our colony , creating events for sports, talent and even the environment. Along with his childhood buddy, Sharif Rangnekar, together they founded an involving youth association called “Youth of Gulmohar” way back in the year 1991.
His entry into the professional world has been unique and perhaps odd too. He was the only male executive in a PR firm called Genesis. He moved to Mumbai, then to Bangalore and later to London. He scaled great heights and an enviable status in his chosen profession.
After having built his career he came back home to India – Delhi and the family nest in Gulmohar Park. Even today, Nitin continues to be popular, easily breaking the ice and striking conversations with residents of Gulmohar Park with absolute ease. Although his company – AvianWE – is amongst the largest in the country, he remains to be humble, generous and caring and for us he is our very own Nitin.
Nitin is an active member of the Gulmohar community. He is an elected member of Gulmohar Center’s Managing Committee and is Convener Food and Beverages. We wish Nitin the best and hope he keeps making all of us proud by scaling greater heights in his life.
