On June 8, the Community Centre was transformed into a vibrant hub of excitement as Khelo 39 hosted its highly anticipated 2nd Sports Carnival finale. The event drew in a large and enthusiastic crowd, all eager to witness the prize distribution ceremony of thrilling sports competitions and indulge in a delightful culinary experience.
As the clock struck 7:00 PM, the ceremony commenced, and the audience was treated to a spectacular display of sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill. The atmosphere was electric, with cheers and applause echoing through the hall as participants were felicitated for their best performances in games like badminton, table tennis, cricket, chess, and carrom.
The winners and runners-up of each game were awarded trophies and prizes, recognizing their hard work and dedication. The event saw a massive turnout, with approximately 350 people in attendance.
The sports competition prize distribution was followed by a captivating cultural program prepared by the students of an NGO School and a Dance Academy. The evening was filled with music, dance, and laughter, showcasing the talented young performers.
The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Dr. Mahesh Sharma, MP, who inaugurated the ceremony as the chief guest. Other distinguished guests included MLA Pankaj Singh, BJP District President Manoj Gupta, NEA President Vineet Malhan, Rakesh Kohli, VK Seth, President of Khelo 39 DK Vats, General Secretary Suraj Verma, Joint Secretary Rajat and Saurabh, and the trustees of the NGO ,Neelam, Rajat, and Swagata.
The event was a resounding success, bringing together people from all walks of life in a celebration of sports, food, and community. A very thoughtful initiative was to arrange an E- Rickshaw for the residents to reach the venue. Khelo 39’s 2nd Sports Carnival will be remembered for a long time, and we eagerly look forward to the next installment of this fantastic event!
