Jackfruit trees, a very recent addition to the flora of 15A, can be spotted here and there in our Sector. One tree, exotically laden with the huge, fascinating jackfruit (kathal) was spotted near Gate no.2, but before we could take a picture, the fruit was harvested. Shobha Juneja says she even managed to buy a big jackfruit from the caretaker of the house where the tree grows. The season is over, but keep an eye out for the generously laden trees next summer!
