Karwachauth festivities started a day ago. All ask the markets were decorated beautifully and there was festive mood all over with decked up ladies buying colourful bangles, applying mehndi on their hands and buying mathri, seviyan for sargi. Both the A1 block parks were decorated with lights and Mehndi – Choori stalls were put up in the small A1 park as well as in the Bhutani park. In Bhutani park food stalls were also organised so the mood was very festive. Throughout the day ladies kept coming to get mehndi applied on their hands. On the D day of Karwachauth ladies thronged the parks with thalis in their hands wearing bright colourful attire and made big circles to listen to the Katha which ended with taking Group pictures.
