Karva Chauth is a festival of love that is widely celebrated by married Hindu women in North India. During this festival, women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands. Women from various societies wholeheartedly celebrated this auspicious occasion with great enthusiasm. Different events were organized by the ladies in various colonies. Some gathered to play tambola and participate in other activities. In most societies, a katha (a story associated with the festival) was narrated in the mandir premises. Despite fasting all day, the participation was impressive, with many children present to support and cheer for their mothers. The sight of the celebration was indeed divine, filled with beauty and energy in one place. The women were dressed in ethnic attire, and nothing enhances the beauty of an Indian woman quite like traditional Indian wear.
