Karva Chauth is a festival celebrated by married Indian women for their husband’s longevity & wellbeing. From sunrise to moonrise, married women observe a rigorous fast, pray & perform rituals.
This occasion is also about dressing up in traditional attire, applying intricate henna designs, and bonding with fellow women in close-knit communities. This festival symbolizes dedication, devotion, love, strength and the unbreakable bond between married couples.
The day began with a traditional sargi meal & in the evening, the women transformed into resplendent avatars for the puja.
PC 1-6: Karva Chauth was celebrated with enthusiasm by the gorgeous ladies. The evening sky was illuminated with the sight of women looking at the moon through a sieve, breaking their fast only after seeking blessings for their spouses’ well-being.
PC 11-18: The ladies gathered at the central park. Rita Bakshi led in creating an amazing Gaura Maa shrine, around which everyone gathered for the Puja. The finale was an enchanting reel session capturing the joyous celebration.
Everyone embraced their inner queen, showcasing their exquisite attire with grace. It was a captivating display of elegance and tradition that added glamour to the festivity.
PH4: For the first time in PH4, the Karva Chauth Puja was initiated in the park. The beautiful ladies came together to perform the puja, looking lovely in their suhagan jodas with solah shringar.
Many ladies celebrated Karva Chauth at the Jaypee Wishtown temple.
