Radhika, orphaned at childhood, lives with her grandparents and is arranged to get married this month. Lack of funds for stree-dhan is becoming a big hurdle in the arrangements for the family.
Kusum, a local lady masseuse and a single mother, who comes door-to-door to provide services, is all set to marry her daughter, Sangeeta this November at her village. But her resources are falling short to make the required marriage arrangements and give a proper farewell to her daughter at her kanyadaan.
No other than Sapna Sehrawat, our philanthropy queen, under the aegis of her NGO Niswarth Sewa Foundation has stepped up to the task to help Sangeeta and Radhika. Niswarth Sewa is collecting funds and clothes and household articles from DLF 2 residents and also through other non-profit organisations like Lioness Club to help these to-be-brides.
All residents who are willing to support the cause can connect with Sapna and get more details.
Our blessing and best wishes to Sangeeta and Radhika for a happily married life ahead.
